Cambodia’s GDP rose 35%

In its April 2024 World Economic Outlook, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) disclosed Cambodia's revised Gross Domestic Product ("GDP") estimates. The calculations were based on the year 2014 instead of 2000, resulting in an economy that is 35 percent greater than previously estimated.

Cambodia's GDP for the year 2023 is $41.9 billion.

This revision follows a thorough procedure that has been evaluated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with the goal of offering a more precise depiction of Cambodia's economy.

The present GDP estimates are predicated on the data from the year 2000 and do not take into account the country's structural transformation, inflation effects, and technical advancements that have occurred in the past 23 years.
