On 9 March 2022, General Department of Taxation (“GDT”) announced Notification no. 4577 GDT (“Notification 4577”) which postpones the implementation of Prakas 346 MEF.P on Capital Gains Tax (“Prakas 346”) to 1 January 2024.
Formerly, Instruction 24094 declared by the GDT on the 9th of October 2020 (“Instruction 24094”) had delayed capital gains tax to 1 January 2022.
This move is a part of government’s economic recovery plan to reduce taxpayers’ burden.
